Ok, this was another sketch (in pen) I originally started in English class. I thought the concept out for about 2 minutes max; It was meant to be pretty simplistic and funny. I sketched out the blob then basically drew his tongue extended wrapping around something (invisible at the time). I later drew in the dog as the figure, but I had originally planned for it to be a human; fortunately I realized that an innocent dog being eaten would be a lot funnier in concept than just another boring human. For the “Dog Eater” blob, I simply started drawing a fat sluggish shape and decided to put him in a trollish like sitting position making him appear fat and stupid. This doodle was colored in Photoshop cs3 over the timespan of 2 and a 1/2 hrs. I tried to make the “Dog eater” as repulsive as possible.

Here I used a transparency in Photoshop to make the lines a little bit darker, it also made it a little bit more cartoony with an outline.

And finally the original sketch… (The image is in a .gif format which makes it lose quality, but ultimately makes it load faster so…)
